\n\tAfter seven years, Cardi B<\/a> has made her long-awaited return to the Billboard 200<\/a> with Am I the Drama?<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tBardi\u2019s sophomore studio album opened atop<\/a> the all-format ranking with 200,000 first-week units, making her the first female rapper in history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her first two albums. Housing the Hot 100<\/a>-charting singles \u201cOutside\u201d (No. 10) and \u201cImaginary Playerz\u201d (No. 70), Cardi\u2019s 23-song new set also includes the No. 1 hits \u201cUp\u201d and \u201cWAP\u201d (with Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>). Over the weekend, Cardi graced NYC\u2019s Global Citizen Festival<\/a> alongside Shakira, Ros\u00e9, Tyla and Ayra Starr.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThank you sooo much everybody that supported my album!! Two weeks ago the album was projected to do 115k off of [\u201cOutside\u201d] and [\u201cImaginary Playerz\u201d],\u201d Cardi wrote on X<\/a> (Sept. 28). \u201cI didn\u2019t know what the outcome was gonna be. I didn\u2019t put out [an] album in 7 years, and haven\u2019t put out as much music in the last year, but we just surpassed all [those] expectations. Thank you to everyone who gave the album a listen, did a video to the songs and everything!! You don\u2019t know the confidence and boost you gave me in my music to keep pushing. I can\u2019t wait to see you guys on tour. Tonight we celebrate!!! I can\u2019t pop no champagne\u2026 but maybe I can open up some cranberry juice or something!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOutside of Cardi\u2019s Billboard 200<\/em> return, this weekend also boasted a slew of new albums, including releases from Mariah Carey<\/a> (Here for It All<\/em>), Doja Cat<\/a> (Vie<\/em>) and Young Thug<\/a> (UY Scuti<\/em>). From \u201980s tributes to whiteface album artwork, September certainly went out with a bang. Of course, the biggest news of the month arrived Sunday night (Sept. 28), with the official announcement of Bad Bunny as the headliner<\/a> for next year\u2019s Apple Music-sponsored Super Bowl LX halftime show in California (Feb. 8, 2026).<\/p>\n
