\n\tIn a Wednesday (Oct. 1) appearance on \u201cThe Benny Show,\u201d <\/a>Corey Lewandowski \u2014 the president\u2019s 2016 and 2024 campaign manager who now advises the Department of Homeland Security \u2014 was asked whether ICE will be on the ground at Levi\u2019s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, come Feb. 8, 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally,\u201d was Lewandowski\u2019s response. \u201cNot the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cKnow that is a very real situation under this administration, which is contrary to how it used to be,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe remarks come just three days after it was announced<\/a> that Benito would be performing at the Big Game next year, six years after he made his debut on the Super Bowl stage during Jennifer Lopez and Shakira\u2019s headlining show. The news was particularly attention-grabbing as the rapper had previously decided not to perform in the United States while on tour due to concerns that immigration officers might target his audiences \u2014 something he referenced at the time of the announcement. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I\u2019ll do just one date in the United States,\u201d Bad Bunny wrote on X<\/a> on Sunday (Sept. 28). <\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Lewandowski\u2019s personal opinions about Roc Nation\u2019s pick for the 2026 showcase, the conservative consultant isn\u2019t a fan. \u201cIt\u2019s so shameful they\u2019ve decided to pick somebody who seems to hate America so much to represent them at the Halftime Show,\u201d he said on \u201cThe Benny Show.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe should be trying to be inclusive, not exclusive,\u201d Lewandowski added. \u201cThere are plenty of great bands and entertainment people who could be playing at that show that would be bringing people together and not separating them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s unclear where Lewandowski may have gotten the notion that Bad Bunny \u2014 who is from Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the U.S. \u2014 hates America. Even as he was explaining his reasons for not taking his Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos World Tour through the so-called Land of the Free in 2025-26, Benito specified in a September interview with I-D<\/em><\/a>, \u201cThere were many reasons why I didn\u2019t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve performed there many times,\u201d he continued at the time. \u201cAll of [the shows] have been successful. All of them have been magnificent. I\u2019ve enjoyed connecting with Latinos who have been living in the U.S. \u2026 But there was the issue of, like, f\u2013king ICE could be outside [my concert].
