\n\tRosal\u00eda<\/a> announced the details of her upcoming fourth full-length album on Monday night (Oct. 20) with a dramatic reveal in Madrid of the cover art for LUX<\/em>, which will be released on Nov. 7 on Columbia Records. The 18-track follow-up to 2022\u2019s Motomami<\/em> was recorded with the London Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Dan\u00edel Bjarnason and features a wide variety of female voices, including Bj\u00f6rk, fado singer Carminho, Spanish flamenco singer Estrella Morente, Spanish singer\/composer Silvia P\u00e9rez Cruz and the Escolania de Montserrat i Cor Cambra Palau de la M\u00fasica Catalana, regional m\u00fasica mexicana act Yahritza and experimental dance performer Yves Tumor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to a release, the album \u2014\u00a0broken into four movements \u2014\u00a0was executive produced by the singer and explores themes of \u201cfeminine mystique, transformation and spirituality\u201d while \u201cmoving between intimacy and operatic scale to create a radiant world where sound, language and culture fuse as one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBefore the announcement, the singer posted a brief clip on Instagram<\/a> in which she stares down into her phone while smiling and rocking back and forth and holding a rosary between her teeth as an orchestra plays a haunting passage in the background. In addition, on Monday night the singer made a special surprise appearance during a takeover of Madrid\u2019s Gran Via, in which she sprinted through <\/a>crowds<\/a> wearing an all-white, habit-like outfit similar to the one she has on the LP\u2019s cover with the top of her head bearing what she called a blonde \u201chalo\u201d dye job. The livestreamed event included the singer briefly turning off the lights in the area and then re-lighting them to reveal the album\u2019s cover art projected onto a building.<\/p>\n

\n\tThousands of fans<\/a> packed into the Callao plaza in the city center for the pop-up event, which include a 90-minute TikTok stream chronicling the singer\u2019s prep and arrival<\/a>. Prior to the reveal, the Catalan star teased the announcement on billboards in New York\u2019s Times Square and elsewhere around the world.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe CD and vinyl versions of the album will feature three exclusive tracks, \u201cFocu \u2018ranni,\u201d \u201cJeanne\u201d and \u201cNovia Robot.\u201d Motomami<\/em> peaked at No. 33 on the Billboard 200 album chart in April 2022; the LP won album of the year, best alternative music album and two other awards at the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards and best Latin rock or alternative album at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Since Motomami<\/em>\u2018s release, Rosal\u00eda has released a series of collabs, including \u201cNew Woman\u201d with Lisa of BLACKPINK, \u201cOral\u201d with Bj\u00f6rk and \u201cOmega\u201d featuring Ralphie Choo, as well as the stand-alone singles \u201cLLYM\u201d and \u201cTuya,\u201d as well as the 2023 collab EP with Rauw Alejandro RR<\/em>.<\/p>\n
